Gatekeeping is bad for the Apparel Industry

Touch it once.

This is my POV when it comes to Apparel Design & Product Development.

The less touch-points, hand offs and double data entry, the less mistakes made.

Consistency is key.

And consistency is what your customers rely on, what they trust about your brand.

The Apparel industry needs a tool, a platform, a solution that holds one version of the truth and updates it in real time.

Band-aiding Adobe Illustrator - Tips, Tricks, & Tutorials, Adobe Photoshop - Tips, Tricks, & Tutorials, InDesign, CLO Virtual Fashion Inc., Browzwear, Style3D, Excel, BeProduct, Centric, PTC, Bamboo Rose, Infor, NetSuite…(I know I have missed some, take your pick) together to re-create the Design, Development, & Production phases of apparel creation is NOT the answer to any sustainable process.

This is not the way. Why recreate the product multiple times in multiple forms?

It is a waste of time, of money, of human energy, of creativity.

The industry needs interoperability. Enough of the gate-keeping.
